Camden Council are leading the way with their ‘Fair Lettings’ campaign aimed at educating consumers about what they can rightfully expect from their property and letting agents. Camden is one of only a handful of councils in London that have issued fines to property professionals who do not comply with the law and are not a member of a consumer redress scheme.
The Property Redress Scheme (PRS) is delighted to announce that it has been approved by both the Chartered Trading Standards Institute and the National Trading Standards Estate Agency Team to offer alternative dispute resolution (ADR) to consumers and traders acting within the property sector under the new ADR regulations which came into force on 1st October 2015.
PRS Membership renewals begin from the middle of this September. We’re pleased to announce that we are keeping the renewal prices the same as when you first joined.
